Leather 04:05
I can feel the summer breathing Down my leather We lived in a house of stone by the seaside The garden wild, it was overgrown With white roses Though that was all so long ago I can feel the summer breathing Down my leather I can feel the times are changing Riding out to the reservoir The sun has dried up the lake Leaving nothing but bones and rusty cans The remains of a summer's day The remains of a summer's day Leaving nothing in its wake I can feel the summer I can feel the summer breathing down my leather I can feel the tides are turning in my favour I can feel the stars aligning And my star is rising I can feel the summer I can feel the summer breathing Down my leather

What does it mean to let go? Forget what we’re taught; the years of growing old Scared of what’s left more scared that there’s nothing below Can’t tell a caged bird to spread its wings and fly Alone at last with your mask they’ve asked you to go No hand to guide ‘cause it’s already inside your mind Pull of the tides We’re confined by nurture A path set in stone as fixed as Verona’s lovers Alone at last with your mask they’ve asked you to go No hand to guide ‘cause it’s already inside your mind Alone at last with your mask they’ve asked you to go No hand to guide ‘cause it’s already inside your mind Like a statue made of ice melting down to the ground Rising up to the sky to become another cloud That I spot when lying down in the grass A summer's day, you play with my hair we roll around These memories drift slowly away into a haze With the smell of the hay, and the flower that you picked that day In your hand it looked so sweet But in my room it withered and died Not a surprise but equally it unsettled me I couldn't help but see my life laid out in front of me As I grow old the years left to me seem like nothing but a misery You can’t prevent the cracks that form across a face The lines that trace the story of the human race repeating itself Without a thought to those that came or those to come Like climate change, financial crash, atomic bomb, The list I wrote it could go on — But why bother with all that dreary stuff When you can just look up and smell the roses?

Lake 05:43
In the morning when you look at me Light pours onto white sheets A tightened grip around a loose wrist Buzzing black fly Over crowded lake Demystify in angelic state The water cools The water calls The water cools In the morning when I look at you The warnings allude abandon The dawn brings a gentle apathy Look around you’ll find me there A smile in the sun Distracted gaze reflected by mystic light Waiting, waiting for the sun to go in Peace of mind at last And nothing could clarify this scene With tranquillity comes madness Wrapped in silk Forgotten

Hollow Frame 03:09
And we were walking The sun hadn’t gone down yet but we were in the woods And it starts to get dark earlier in the woods And it was that time of year Where it’s starting to get darker sooner so we thought we’d go home And so we did; we went back to your grandma’s house We were staying at her house in Norfolk But it was just us Just us there And when we got back we realised that we’d forgotten to collect firewood Which was the reason we went to the woods in the first place We both kind of looked at eachother and we thought We’ve got to go back, we’ve got to go back to the woods And so we put on our coats and we stepped out It had started to get colder We passed the village pub which was starting to fill up And we even talked about going in to get a drink And just forgetting about the wood But this felt like delaying Delaying the inevitable So we set off once more for the woods and we approached And — when we got there we both kind of looked at each other Because it was this kind of dark you don’t really get in the city It was kind of like A true scientific black Like a kind of darkness that you don’t want to experience, but we went in anyway You got out your pocket knife I told you to put it away but you wouldn’t So we forged on into the woods and we could see these people These people in the distance and they were having a fire and It was scary but they were singing this melody And it was kind of enchanting, it was drawing us closer And we were getting close to them And it was something like this, they were singing this melody and it was like — And as we got closer we could make out their faces And there was Nothing there

Dark Days 02:48
Now the sun’s gone in She takes a train It’s been swallowed whole Like the lump in your throat As it pulls away You told her to take the day Driver take me away The wheel is yours My dark days are here to stay Here to stay Down deserted streets A flicker of light It reminds me of your pale blue eyes Like the moon they guide The path of a salty stream But you’ve been getting older And you’ve lost your way Driver take me away The wheel is yours My dark days are here to stay Don’t know what caused This sunny heart to decay Ever since the sky turned blue It’s not been the same

Human Dust 03:41
7.
The clock is ticking as I’m finding my way My way into the dark The clock is ticking as I’m finding my way My way into the dark Her eyes are opening I see a black dog A figure from my fires Thoughts slip and slide across my right hand My delicate burnt hand His clumsy male hands are covered in dough I chide him The giant Little windy man Licks his thumb The hills stand resolute, alive, enduring They witness my resolve Her will leaves everything to waste and coffee To spiral from control From control
8.
I don’t wanna stay in I don’t wanna to go out ‘Cause it’s always the same I don’t wanna stay out I don’t wanna leave ‘Cause it’s always the same I just wanna go Somewhere that I know I won’t lose control I don’t know Where I want to go Next stop, Mars Next stop, Mars! Now I know Where I want to go Next Stop, Mars Next Stop, Mars!
